A staggering unemployment rate and flailing local economy are at the top of the list. The Hoopa Tribe’s Self Governance Coordinator, Danny Jordan, believes that with a well-thought-out plan, the tribe can help eliminate the epidemic unemployment rate he estimates to be as high as 60 percent.
